Our achievements

Major achievements of the recent years (3 years) of the Department of ICT: Last 31/06/2013 AD. This department was formed under the Department of Information and Communication Technology on. Ensuring and coordinating the use and application of ICT at all levels of government with the aim of making Bangladesh a middle-income country through the implementation of Vision-2021 announced by the government. Already head office, 64 district offices and 48 upazila offices have been set up. Out of the total 656 manpower approved by the department, 202 officers including 195 ICT officers are working. Activities have been taken to recruit 333 first class officers and 04 second class officers through PSC. Gazette notification of "Department of Information and Communication Technology (Gazetted and Non-Gazetted Officers and Employees) Recruitment Rules, 2015" has been published. 200 ICT officers from two projects of Bangladesh Computer Council have been transferred to the Revenue Department of the Department with special consideration of Hon'ble Prime Minister. The process of setting up 2000 computer labs in various educational institutions is underway through the project titled "Establishment of Computer and Language Training Labs in Educational Institutions across the country".
